An L.A. County sheriff’s deputy fatally shot a pit bull that charged him Saturday while he was checking out a report of a fight at a home in Industry, CNS has reported.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 11400 block of Homeward Street about 2 a.m. on a report of an altercation involving “an insane person,” said Lt. Arthur Scott of the sheriff’s Industry station.
Deputies were behind the home when a pit bull charged a deputy, prompting him to shoot the dog, Scott said. One of the residents, the dog’s owner, was taken into custody, Scott said. The reason for the arrest was not made public.
