Local Shopping: West Ho-Ho-Hollywood Event

The West Hollywood Marketing & Visitors Bureau is putting on a ‘Holiday Walk on the Avenues’ on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Businesses along Melrose Avenue and Beverly and Robertson Boulevards will be offering discounts, giveaways and refreshments. The first 25 visitors to each participating business will receive a gift bag. Some of the deals:

• Sunstyle Tanning on Robertson Boulevard will have free mimosas, fitness models with giant angel wings and Hunky Santa and the Candy Cane girls from 7 to 9 p.m.
  
• Marco Pelusi Salon on Robertson is offering free consultations, blow-outs and travel size shampoos.
• Alie Waldman Home Couture on Beverly is having a store-wide sale, with everything 50% to 75% off.
• Soolip, the store on Melrose for those with a serious stationery fetish, is offering a free piece of ‘tree-free’ gift wrap.
• Coco de Mer ‘luxury erotica’ boutique will have champagne, cupcakes, 20% discounts and an appearance by Santa.
• Platt Boutique Jewelry on Rosewood Avenue is offering discounts and free jewelry cleaning.
