Oscar De La Hoya weighed in at 145 pounds today, a surprising two pounds under the 147-pound limit for Saturday night’s fight with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, who is moving up from lightweight (135-pound) world champion for the bout, came in at an even lower 142 pounds.
Both fighters acknowledged their fan bases in a packed MGM Grand Garden Arena by holding up their fists as they departed.
