AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Maybe Raymond Floyd hung up the spikes one year too soon. Same for Gary Player.
Two ancient (sorry, harsh word) Masters champs are off to terrific starts. Bernhard Langer leads the field at 3-under par after through holes. The 52-year-old German won here in 1985 and 1993.
Tom Watson, who turned 60 in September, is 2-under through through four holes after birdies on Nos. 1 and 3.
Watson, who came within an 8-foot putt of winning the British Open last year, won Green Jackets in 1977 and 1981. But he has missed his last seven cuts at Augusta National.
