Close call for Coach Redell

Oaks Christian football Coach Bill Redell and his wife, Cheryl, were involved in a serious automobile accident on Dec. 30, when the Lexus that Redell was driving on the 10 Freeway in West Covina was struck allegedly by a drunk driver, sending Redell’s car across three lanes and in to an embankment.

Redell, 66, and his wife suffered back injuries and were transported by ambulance to a hospital. ‘I was hurting,’ Redell said.

Both have been going through physical therapy. ‘We both feel better,’ he said.
