Only a few early-risers attending Cochran Classic

It’s a rather sparse crowd at Cal State Dominguez for the Dorsey-Oakland Skyline game this morning that opened the second annual Johnnie Cochran (pictured) Classic one-day boys’ basketball tournament.

I guess that’s to be expected with an 11:30 a.m. tipoff.

But I wanted another look at the Dons (8-3, 3-1) before they resume Coliseum League play next week, to see if they can challenge Fremont (12-4, 4-0).

So far Dorsey has its hands full with these NorCal visitors. The Dons trail, 34-28, at halftime.
