Saugus shows it has the Wright moves

It didn’t take much for Saugus to beat West Ranch in a boys’ basketball game on Tuesday -- just your typical half-court buzzer beater and a 13-0 run to close out the game.

Thanks to Mario Wright‘s three-pointer from just inside the half-court line, Saugus escaped with an important 54-51 victory to stay in the Foothill League title hunt. The Centurions actually trailed, 51-41, with 3 1/2 minutes left before unleashing a scoring frenzy to make sure the Wildcats didn’t beat them for a second time.

Obviously, Saugus Coach Jeff Hallman was pleased his boys found a way to come back, but he wasn’t so happy about how things went down in the game’s first 29 minutes. Here’s what he had to say about the big win:
