Water polo: Birmingham shoots for perfection in City final

The 18-0 Birmingham water polo team faces Cleveland for the City championship on Friday, beginning at 6 p.m. at John Argue Swim Stadium, which is located adjacent to the Coliseum.

The top-seeded Patriots, who have won 28 straight games dating back to last season, easily took out fourth seed Venice 20-6 in the semifinals. Second-seeded Cleveland beat third-seeded Roosevelt, 15-4, in the other semifinal.

Roosevelt and Venice play for third place at 4 p.m. Friday.
