For those of you unaware of who Uona Kavienga is, here’s a quick lesson. The 6-foot-1, 225 pound senior from Leuzinger was one of the top linebackers in the nation a season ago, a once highly recruited prospect that, seemingly, had his choice of going to any program in the country before finally deciding to stay close to home and attend USC.

And it appears as if the high-profile nature of the Kavienga recruiting process has benefited a pair of his Olympian teammates, Dijon Washington and Issac Foster. The junior tandem caught the attention of Division I scouts a while ago and both are on the verge of stepping out of Kavienga’s shadow soon.

Washington picked up his third scholarship offer recently, from Nebraska. Other schools waiting for a verbal commitment include Oregon St. and Washington St. There’s also rumors beginning to circulate about Arizona St. and Washington expressing interest in the 6-foot-2, 185 pound safety.

Foster is no slouch. The 6-foot, 220 pound linebacker was impressive during several spring workouts and additional improvement from him is expected this summer. According to this report, he’s been contacted by UCLA and the Trojans. Colorado St. and Syracuse are in the mix too.
