Baseball: Narbonne clinches Marine League title

Harbor City Narbonne, a City Section finalist last season, clinched the Marine League baseball championship on Monday with an 11-8 victory over San Pedro.

The Gauchos improved to 20-9 overall and 12-2 in league. San Pedro dropped to 19-11 and 10-4.

In the East Valley League, Arleta (20-11, 12-5) defeated North Hollywood Hollywood to remain in third place. Sun Valley Poly (14-3) is in second place and Verdugo Hills (15-2) in first place.

Verdugo Hills defeated Canoga Park, 19-0, with Brenden Huacuja hitting a grand slam and Matt McCallister hitting a three-run home run.
