School District Plans Sale:The Huntington Beach Union High School District has begun accepting closed bids for the sale of more that 150 surplus and obsolete items, including five sedans, a motorcycle, computers and industrial and shop equipment. The bids will be opened at 2 p.m. March 4 at district headquarters, 10251 Yorktown Ave. The items are located at Edison, Westminster, Marina, Fountain Valley and Ocean View high schools and the Education Center. A complete list of the items is available at any district school and the district purchasing office. Also included are typewriters, ranges, projection screens, typing tables, desks, chairs, sewing machines, refrigerators, scales, clocks and two-way radios.
