Canyon High defeated Lutheran High of Orange, 4-0, in the first round of the Southern Section 3-A girls’ soccer playoffs Thursday at Lutheran.
Julie Badillo and Jenny Simmons had two goals apiece for Canyon. Sweeper Michele Braceros and goalkeeper Karen Backle led the Cowboy defense.
Canyon is 7-4-2 this season.
