STOCKTON — A Stockton woman was sentenced to three years in state prison today for kidnaping and robbing the elderly mother of San Diego Chargers owner Alex G. Spanos.
Ronca Lee Boyd, 34, had pleaded guilty prior to her sentencing by San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Michael Garrigan. She was accused of taking Eva Spanos, 84, out of the victim’s condominium in Stockton at gunpoint Feb. 15, forcing Eva Spanos to write a $1,000 check and locking her in a storage closet at a condominum complex 25 blocks away where Boyd lived. Eva Spanos was found unharmed about four hours later.
