GENEVA — The number of Jews allowed to leave the Soviet Union dropped to 37 in June, the smallest figure since a record low 29 registered last October, the Intergovernmental Committee for Migration reported Friday.
Seventeen of the emigrants arriving in Vienna went to Israel and the rest to Italy on their way to new homes in other countries, it added in a statement.
A total of 464 arrivals this year had so far been counted.
