HIT PERSON

On the basis of Sheila Benson’s review of “Prizzi’s Honor” that led me to believe it was a light, sophisticated, fun, summer comedy-romance (“To Love, Honor and Va Voom,” June 14), I went to see the movie.
What I was subjected to was an ill-conceived, flat, pointless, tasteless, spiritless string of Mafia murders. After the fifth (or maybe sixth--I lost count) “hit,” I finally had to walk out.
What was this movie supposed to be? A comedy? A drama? A romance? A spoof? An adventure? Did Benson actually see the movie before writing a review of it?
Anyone who could call this movie witty and entertaining simply doesn’t know a good film from a bad one. Why is such a person reviewing movies for Calendar?
