The Los Angeles Zoo has obtained a mate for its male California condor, Topa Topa--the second adult pairing to be made this summer for a breeding program that scientists hope will save the species from extinction. The new bird, with a wingspan of about 10 feet, was captured Friday in the San Joaquin Valley.
