A 57-year-old Monterey Park man died Tuesday on the Ventura Freeway in Studio City, apparently after suffering a heart attack, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of relatives, was thrown off the vehicle onto the roadway and hit by a car, CHP spokesman Dan Loughrey said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Loughrey said.
The man was stricken while driving west about 2:15 p.m. near Tujunga Avenue, Loughrey said. He lost control of his motorcycle in the slow lane, cut across traffic and slammed into the center divider, the CHP spokesman said.
