Artesia Defeats Brea-Olinda, 17-12

Artesia High School’s defense limited Brea-Olinda to only 26 yards rushing Friday night as the Pioneers defeated the Wildcats, 17-12, in front of 1,000 spectators at Artesia.
Quarterback Eric Oden’s passing kept Brea close as he completed 12-of-28 pass attempts for 164 yards. Oden’s passing set up both the Wildcats’ fourth-quarter touchdowns.
The scores came on a one-yard run by Erich Brittson and a five-yard run by Fred Camarena.
Artesia outgained Brea in offense, 380-190. The Pioneers passed for 220 yards and ran for 160.
