Pasadena surgeon Dr. Tirso del Junco and Fresno attorney Leo S. Kolligian were named by Gov. George Deukmejian to the University of California Board of Regents. Del Junco, 60, is a general surgeon associated with Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital. The former chairman of the state Republican party also has served on the state Board of Medical Examiners. Kolligian, 68, also a Republican, is a former director of the Fresno Metropolitan Museum. Terms of the new regents, pending Senate confirmation, will run until March 1, 1997.
