$18-Million Hotel Planned in San Pedro

An $18-million, 216-room hotel is being planned in San Pedro, two blocks from the Port of Los Angeles.
Developed by Goldrich & Kest Industries, Culver City, the eight-story, 135,000-square-foot structure will have a 4,500-square-foot banquet/ballroom, restaurant, swimming pool and parking for about 250 vehicles. It was designed by a joint venture of architects including Kamnitzer & Cotton-Abraham Shapiro and Herbert Nadel & Partners.
Construction is expected to begin by early 1986, with completion in the spring of 1987.
