‘Unsung Death’ of Alex Odeh

Bravo for Geyelin’s column!
Many of us here in Southern California were horrified to learn that an innocent man had been blown up. There is no reason whatsoever for such terrorism; yet, we hear little from the media about this outrage! After all, this was a murder of an American on American soil with political overtones and intimidation written all over it. Extremism must not be condoned, yet the silence in this case is deafening!
Alex Odeh was not a man of violence, but an Arab-American citizen who devoted his adult life to trying to bring two cultures together in harmony and mutual respect. He spoke out for peace through understanding. Let us hope that he did not die in vain.
