Four 1984 Olympic boxers will fight today on a nationally televised card that will be followed by lightweight boxer Pernell Whitaker’s wedding in the ring.
Meldrick Taylor, winner of the Olympic featherweight gold medal, will box Victor Acosta; Olympic welterweight champion Mark Breland will face Hedgeman Robertson of Los Angeles; Evander Holyfield, an Olympic bronze medalist, will meet Anthony Davis in the light-heavyweight division, and Tyrell Biggs, the Olympic heavyweight gold medalist, will fight Tony Anthony.
Whitaker, an Olympic gold medalist who had to cancel his fight today because of a broken left foot, will marry Rovanda Anthony in the ring after the card.
