Native Spelling

The natives will soon be revolting if the various media continue to call them Angelinos rather than Angelenos. I can no longer be quiet.
Seriously, I’m reasonably sure it should be spelled with an “e.” Kevin Starr does so in his books and the very excellent Los Angeles Conservancy book, “The Architecture of Los Angeles ,” does so as well.
Sam Hall Kaplan’s fine column reaches a great number of people and has much influence. Oh, by the way, we must also stop the use of “Angelino Heights” too, do you not agree?
