What an amazing system Robert Hilburn must have to determine the “100 Best LPs of 1985”--in order , yet (“The Top Albums: Assessing the Real World,” Jan. 19)!
My life is so much richer knowing that “This Is the Sea” is slightly better than “Meat Is Murder” but not quite as good as “Little Creatures.”
Maybe next we can get him to list every album in history in order of preference. Then he can start on his favorite movies, books and presidents . . . why, I bet a man like that could even balance the budget.
