A Northridge woman was arrested on suspicion of felony manslaughter Monday after her car struck two other vehicles in a Chatsworth intersection, killing a Granada Hills woman who had just dropped off her son for work, police said.
Witnesses told police that Zivart Yaziciyan, 41, was driving east on Lassen Street about 8:20 a.m. when she ran a red light and struck two cars heading north on Winnetka Avenue, Los Angeles Police Officer Carl Helm said.
After bumping a car driven by John Heng, 37, of Calabasas, Yaziciyan’s auto broadsided the second car, killing Georgiana Martha Harold, 46, Helm said.
Witnesses told police that Heng and Harold started through the intersection after the traffic lights changed to green in their direction, Helm said.
Yaziciyan was released from Van Nuys jail after posting $2,500 bail, a jail spokesman said.
