The body of a second man who died in a commercial fishing boat accident near San Clemente Island was found Monday, washed ashore on the west side of the island, the U.S. Coast Guard reported.
A San Diego County coroner’s official identified him as Frank Germano, 21, of San Pedro. The body of his companion, boat owner Boyd Reber, 35, of Poway, was recovered near the island Sunday by a Coast Guard helicopter.
The 40-foot boat, the Cindy Fay, left San Pedro on Feb. 21 and had been reported overdue Saturday.
Cause of the accident is under investigation, Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Joseph Hartline said.
