Nominations Open for L. A. Conservancy Awards

Nominations are open for the Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual Preservation Awards, with a deadline set for April 11.
A maximum of six awards will be given based on the following criteria: Individuals, institutions or agencies which have made outstanding contributions; projects that are a model of preservation achievement and quality; creative adaptive reuse of historic properties, and education development in historic preservation.
Entries must be from the Los Angeles region and must refer to completed projects. A committee will consist of Scott Carde, architect and awards chairman; Edward Avila, commissioner, Board of Public Works; Peter de Bretteville, architect; Bruce Corwin, Metropolitan Theaters; Joyce MacRae, West Coast editor, House & Garden, and Ruthann Lehrer, Conservancy executive director.
Nomination applications are available from the Los Angeles Conservancy, 849 S. Broadway, Suite M-22, Los Angeles, 90014. Winners will be announced during Preservation Week, May 11-18.
