The victim was Vincent Chirafisi, 24, who was attacked Sept. 11 by five youths after he objected to a loud party next door to his Paradise Hills apartment. Chirafisi was stabbed six times. According to court records, his wife, who was seven months’ pregnant at the time, also was attacked and beaten with a tree branch.

A second co-defendant, a 15-year-old youth, was acquitted in Juvenile Court after the Chirafisis couldn’t be positive about his identity.

Hoang remains free on his own recognizance.
