Stevens Rides Fast Account to Victory

Fast Account, ridden by Gary Stevens, took the lead in the final furlong and scored a one-length victory in the $85,100 El Monte Handicap Wednesday at Santa Anita.

Bozina, ridden by Chris McCarron, was second, a head in front of Full Honor, ridden by Pat Valenzuela.

The winner was clocked in 1:42 3/5 for 1 1/16 miles and paid $5, $3.40 and $2.80. Bozina returned $5.20 and $3, and Full Honor paid $3 to show.
