Memorial Planned for Pepperdine Benefactor

Pepperdine University officials will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. today for Burtie Bettingen, a Beverly Hills philanthropist and a major university donor, at Stauffer Chapel on the Malibu campus.
Mrs. Bettingen who died late last month after an illness, was the daughter of Burton E. Greene, who helped found and develop Beverly Hills and later headed Bellridge Oil Co.
