Pierce Swimmers 13th in JC State Finals

LA JOLLA — The Pierce College men’s swim team finished 13th in the California Community College State Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday at Friedenberg Pool at the Jewish Community Center.
The Pierce men finished with 68 points in the three-day event. Golden West won the men’s competition with 399 points.
Pierce freshman Norm Skorge finished 10th in the 200-yard butterfly to lead Pierce. Teammate Brad Hermanson placed 16th in the 200 backstroke.
In the women’s division, won by Orange Coast with 417.5, Pierce finished 16th with 90 points.
