Former Chapman College woman’s basketball Coach Brian Berger has been named women’s basketball coach at Colorado State.
“The means to win are there at Colorado State,” Berger said. “It will be a big challenge and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Berger signed a three-year contract with the Division I Rams, who were 7-21 in the High Country Conference last season.
Berger, who resigned on April 14, was 113-32 in five seasons at Chapman. He led the Panthers to the Division II playoffs each of his five seasons and twice was voted the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. Coach of the Year.
The Panthers were 17-10 last season, which was the first time they failed to win 20 games under Berger.
