San Diego Prep Track : Southwest’s Crawford Breaks Marks

CHULA VISTA — Tracy Crawford of Southwest High School broke her own conference records Thursday at the Metro Conference field event finals at Southwestern College.
Crawford threw 153 feet, her third-best throw of the year, to win the discus. She also threw 40-2 to win the shotput.
Tim Tomlinson, also of Southwest, won the boys’ discus with a personal best of 141-2 and the shotput (48-6).
Hue Nguyen of Castle Park cleared 14-0 to win the pole vault. Mike Serrano of Southwest was second at 13-6.
