Britain’s Steve Cram, world record holder for the mile and 2,000 meters, pulled up with a calf-muscle injury halfway through a 5,000 meter race on his home track at Gateshead, England.
Gareth Magel of Gateshead won in a time of 14 minutes 24.9 seconds.
