Munson Named Rancho Alamitos Coach

Terry Munson has been named the varsity basketball coach at Rancho Alamitos High School. Munson, the Vaqueros’ junior varsity coach for the past three years, succeeds Pat Adams, 52, who resigned two weeks ago.
Adams said he disapproved of the new Garden Grove League plan to have boys and girls varsity teams play doubleheaders while lower-level teams play at another site. Adams, who guided the Vaqueros to the Garden Grove League championship last season with a 9-1 record, said it was important for younger players to observe varsity games, which will not be possible under the new program.
