Giving Ink to Name-Callers
For tough-guy politicians Robert K. Dornan, Gil Ferguson and Richard Robinson, attacking Tom Hayden (June 24) must be great fun--besides being easy.
Why the press is such a sucker for name-callers is a good question. But more interesting is the question of whether such attacks would continue if the tough guys didn’t get all those pictures and headlines.
How about a little journalistic glory for those politicians who are addressing the difficult task of improving the lives of those they claim to represent?
