Passenger Seized After Hijack Threat on Plane

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A commuter airliner made an unscheduled landing here after a passenger contended he had a gun and was hijacking the plane, but no weapon was found and the man was arrested without incident, officials said Sunday.
Daniel L. Brannon, 27, of Arkadelphia, Ark., was in federal custody on a charge of interfering with an aircraft after the Saturday incident aboard Atlantic Southeast Airlines Flight 2273 bound for Roanoke, Va., from Atlanta, the FBI said. The plane carried three passengers and three crew members.
