You may have had to see the movie to best appreciate the satire in this rock ‘n’ rouge romp about newlyweds Brad and Janet falling prey to Dr. Frank N. Furter, but Richard O’Brien’s music is so cleverly designed and raucously performed (by Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf) that the good-natured, nostalgic-minded tunes should appeal to anyone who can imagine the fun in such inviting targets as trashy ‘50s pop culture or David Bowie’s teasing, gender-bending persona in the ‘70s.
