A hailstorm that crossed northern Colorado over the weekend caused an estimated $70 million in damages, an insurance official said. A spokesman for State Farm Insurance said his company has received 3,500 storm-related claims totaling $3.8 million in Fort Collins. The company said that damage claims for all insurance agencies could total $15.3 million in Fort Collins alone, and up to $70 million for northern Colorado.
