William C. Pate, an attorney who is also a member of the Coronado school board, has been appointed to the San Diego County Superior Court by Gov. George Deukmejian.
Pate, 42, fills a newly created position on the court. Pate is a partner in the law firm of Jennings, Engstrand & Henrickson.
Superior Court judges earn $81,505 a year.
