Fall Foliage Time Along the Hudson
Discover the graceful mansions and beautiful fall foliage of New York state’s Hudson River Valley during the I Love New York Fall Festival.
The festival’s “Follow the River, Discover the Valley” segment is held through Oct. 26. Vacationers can follow the Hudson River by car, rail or boat to the valley’s lush scenery and historic sites.
Some of the sites include Washington Irving’s cottage in Tarrytown, the scene of his famous novel, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”; the Gothic stone mansion of financier Jay Gould, and the Dutch Van Cortlandt Manor, which recreates the living conditions of the 18th Century.
