248 Dead Paratroopers Memorialized by Park

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Civilian and military officials dedicated a 15-acre park with 248 pear trees Sunday in honor of the 248 paratroopers from nearby Ft. Campbell who died in a plane crash at Gander, Newfoundland, last Dec. 12 while returning from a peacekeeping mission in the Middle East.
