Country music star Hank Williams Jr. will take to the concert circuit this year with what’s being called the “first high-tech country-rock show.” The $1.5 million set consists of a series of ramps and platforms, which also house the stage amplifiers and hide them from view, said Merle Kilgore of Hank Williams Jr. Enterprises in Nashville. “Everything from the microphones to the guitars will be wireless and the lights and speakers will hang above the stage so as not to block Hank and the Bama Band from the audience,” he said. “This is as state-of-the-art as it gets,” said Robert Roth of Source Point Design Co. of Atlanta. “It’s one of the most ambitious projects we’ve worked on, and it’s certainly the most ambitious show ever taken on the road by a Nashville-based performer.”
