The cousin of slain Los Angeles disc jockey Rodolfo Garcia Cortez has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the beating death of the popular Spanish-language announcer. Gustavo Garcia Aguilar, 20, who had been living in Cortez’s apartment, faces sentencing April 17 before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald E. Cappai. The body of Cortez, 43, who worked for radio station KWKW-AM, was found stuffed in a trash container near the downtown Convention Center last April.
