The Gap Inc., San Bruno, said it has named Millard S. (Mickey) Drexler president of the corporation.
Drexler, 42, has been executive vice president-merchandising for the Gap, will continue as president and CEO of the Gap Stores division.
The Gap operates 724 stores under the names of the Gap, Banana Republic and GapKids.
