Former Kansas City Royal Manager Dick Howser is in good condition after undergoing a third operation for a malignant brain tumor Friday at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
Howser, 50, is expected to remain in the intensive-care unit for a few days.
The three-hour operation involved a second experimental cancer treatment operation, known as immunostimulation. An identical operation--in which cancer-killing cells are injected into the area of the malignant brain tumor--was performed Dec. 5 on Howser.
