Ex-Nun Arrested for Taking Ax to Buxom Ice Figure

MILWAUKEE — A former nun was charged today with disorderly conduct for taking an ax to a snow sculpture of a reclining woman dressed in a spray-painted bikini.
The police officer who arrested Kathleen Zanio, 43, quoted her as saying she was upset “because the snow sculpture was fat and had very large breasts.”
“She felt it was like exposing her own breasts and she chopped off the parts she didn’t like,” the officer said.
Bill Hackbarth, 30, and his roommate, Jeff Barnett, 33, had taken advantage of a heavy snow to fashion a beach scene that included two children, a man and the reclining woman in front of their home.
Zanio, who said she was bothered by the sexual exploitation of women, is a camper and happened to have a hatchet in her car.
