David Lynch’s racy “Blue Velvet” is off to a sizzling video rental start, debuting at No. 10 on Billboard magazine’s rental chart. Other hot newcomers: “The Fly” (No. 5) and “Tough Guys,” (No. 11). Box office bomb “Shanghai Surprise,” is also a ho-hum video rental, sinking to No. 35. “Top Gun” still tops both Billboard rental and sales charts. Other charts: “Sleeping Beauty” still leads kidvid, Bon Jovi atop music videocassette chart; and Bob Mann’s “Automatic Golf” is No. 1 on the Recreational Sports chart, currently loaded with how-to golfs.
