UCLA plans to open an office in Newport Beach to promote the university in Orange County.
Current plans call for the UCLA office to open in June at 1001 Dove St., UCLA officials said. Formal announcement of the regional office is to be made May 21 by UCLA Chancellor Charles E. Young during his scheduled speech to the annual dinner for Orange County Chancellor’s Associates.
The new office will be directed by Judy Clark, a veteran member of the UCLA Development Office staff. The office will help with UCLA fund-raising and “serve as a liaison point between the campus and alumni and friends,” a UCLA spokesman said.
UCLA also plans to open a regional office in San Francisco in June.
