Royal Festivities Set in Australia

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II will lead a royal invasion of Australia next year to mark that country’s bicentennial celebrations, Buckingham Palace said today. The queen will spend about three weeks there in April along with her husband, Prince Philip.
Prince Charles and his wife, Diana, will be in Australia in January, followed by Prince Andrew and his wife, Sarah, in September. Next week, the queen will be in Portsmouth, England, to watch a re-enactment of of the sailing of the first British convicts to colonize Australia in 1787.
